Take a Soulful Journey to the Arctic with Wavewulf’s New Album: ‘The North and The Sea’

Dramatic and enchanting, Wavewulf has captured the relentless energy and power of the Scandinavian and Arctic seas in their new album ‘The North and the Sea’. Combining mesmerising synths, electronic keyboards and powerful vocals, Wavewulf are creating exciting sounds that transport the listener to the icy seas. The lead single ‘Luft’ harnesses the power of blue depths with captivating vocals and modern pop vibes that are reminiscent of John Carpenter and Kraftwek to create a unique track. With Christopher John Donato on drums and Nala Spark’s accompanying vocals, Wavewulf have set the tone for the rest of the album.

“The album was inspired by a recent trip to Iceland. At a time when I was feeling claustrophobic and disconnected, I found a sense of freedom in the power of the sea. Being alone, being together, being connected, being disconnected.”

‘The North and The Sea’ certainly causes listeners to experience this dichotomy. Overall, though, Wavewulf bring listeners together in this paradoxical experience. The power of the sea is a theme that emulates across each track of the album and the masterful use of electronic instruments with beautiful vocals takes the listener on a journey of personal experience. His masterful ability to turn synths and keyboards into vessels for conveying personal experience certainly shows itself in ‘The North and The Sea’. The New Jersey based artist, true name Nicholas Long, has certainly gone on a personal experience like a ship on stormy waves. Using the money he received from his mother’s tragic passing, he invested in synths to turn his pain to art. From playing in local bands in Arkansas, to global radio play and insane reviews on his previous album ‘Space Art and Angels’ Long has earned the success he is gaining and ‘The North and The Sea’ is undoubtedly going to earn him more!

With fifteen tracks, ‘The North and The Sea’ is being released on 25 March 2022 so get ready to lose yourself in Wavewulf’s immersive sound!
